Interpreting

When you cannot speak a language yourself, you need someone to serve as your voice. Someone you can can rely on not to merely translate what is said word by word, but also to properly transmit the context is said. On top of that is the respective state of emotion. Furthermore one has to be able to trust that the interpreter does not bring along his own interpretation. It is the duty of the interpreter to overcome a language barrier, not to suggest anything untrue or unacceptable out of an ill-perceived obligation to diplomacy.
